Our story

The ForgetSPECS journey started with one simple goal - to help people see their devices clearly without glasses. 

In 2018, Darrell Edwards set out to create the world’s first prescription screen protector for smart devices. He had spoken to hundreds of people with long-sightedness and presbyopia who were frustrated at having to pull out their glasses every time they needed to look at their device. He was also frustrated and determined to solve this problem for people. 

Darrell teamed up with leading optometrists, physicist and nanotechnology manufacturing specialists. They knew it was going to be challenging - there is a reason no one has done this before! It has certainly been a bumpy road, but that’s the beauty of innovation, with each obstacle arises opportunities.

After five years of researching, designing, prototyping, testing, blood, sweat, and tears, we are almost ready to launch. We can’t wait to share ForgetSPECS with the world!
